An ode to couture, to artisanal crafts mixed with contemporary cuts, a multicultural expertise of artisans and petites mains around the world with exquisite embroidery techniques …. that would briefly describe the vision proposed by the artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri for the DIOR Spring-Summer 2022 presented at the Haute Couture Week in Paris.
Because haute couture has always been about infinite discoveries from art to luxury clothing designs, Maria Grazia Chiuri has explored for the SS ’22 collection even more the multi-faceted language of couture.
In a setup of a reinvented gallery show decor made by Indian artists Madhvi and Manu Parekh, the designs came to life through the Chanakya ateliers and School of Craft’s embroidery work in Mumbai.
The cast of top models who walked for Dior resembled with characters stepping off the paintings around them in precious dresses in a colour palette of whites, soft greys, nudes or blacks.
With a synergy of styles the Dior Spring-Summer 2022 collection celebrated a fantastic fusion between the talent of international embroidery specialists with the Dior “Savoire-Faire” to create the statement couture looks which have earned the brand’s leading place in the fashion world.
