February 2020, Paris,France – Young designer, Alianna Liu, played with Tetris shapes during F/ W 2020 Runway Show Paris.
After her collection “Kiss a rainbow under your skin”, she presented at Garage Lübeck her new one entitled “Tetris Kid”. Fairytales and collective desire to remain a child forever inspire the designer in her way of thinking fashion.This time the designer used her passion for video games to put together what looks straight out of a Tetris game.
Alianna drew herself the prints of tetrominoes & other patterns, inspired
by a mix of cubism and pixel art. The collection is very colorful and has a lot of geometric volumes. Talking about her collection, she explains “Tetris game is played by everyone and iconic. I have been playing Tetris since I was a child. You will discover motifs freely inspired by Tetris shape. During this season, I’m trying to achieve something different. “
The catwalk starts with looks which take us back to her childhood, the series of looks full of colors and shapes tell us the story that hides behind the clothes. The satin , silk , velvet & organdy bring out the feminine curves, while the volumes are also more contemporary. The show ends with a sumptuous wedding dress.

This season, the collection is simple and elegant, contemporary and traditional at the same time, romantic and it displays a wide unexpected color range. Alianna wanted to stay out of classic this time, compared to her precedent collection…and the game is won! #TetrisKid
