Welcome to Bilbao International Art & Fashion !

Under the motto “Create! The best is yet to come!”, Bilbao INternational Art & Fashion – BIAAF bets once again on young fashion creatives and the transforming power of design.Over 1,300 emerging designers coming from 92 countries and the 5 continents have taken part in this Edition. The winners of BIAAF’s 8th Edition shall be revealed next June 14th in Bilbao.

Next June 14th, the names of the winners of each category shall be revealed on the occasion of BIAAF’s Awards Ceremony, which shall be followed by the opening of an exhibition showcasing BIAAF’s 8th Edition’s winning and finalist fashion collections. Both events, curated by the architecture studio Zorrozua y Asociados, shall take place at La Terminal Building, located in the renewed Island of Zorrozaurre, the latest major urban expansion in Bilbao.

On May 13th, an international jury appointed by BIAAF, and composed by representatives of the LVMH Fashion Group, Vogue Talents or the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum, as well as prominent Spanish fashion designers such as Miriam Ocariz or Mercedes de Miguel, met at Bilbao’s Ensanche Building with the aim of selecting the 3 winners of BIAAF’s 8th Fashion Design Competition, which has counted with the participation of over 1,300 emerging fashion designers coming from the best universities and fashion design schools worldwide (Parsons, FIT, Central Saint Martin’s, London College of Fashion, Shenkar, Kyoto Seika University, KADK, Polimoda, IED…).

“The interest of our jury in coming to Bilbao edition after edition, is based in the fact that the collections presented to our competition bring together vanguard and future trends, which will materialize in commercial collections that will be seen on catwalks around the world years later”, a member of BIAAF outlines.
