Visiting FARHAD RE in Paris

A 5 o’clock tea in a fashion atelier from Paris sounds like an ideal way to spend a dreamy summer day. Especially if the atelier belongs to the fashion designer Farhad Re who succeeded to make everybody fall in the love with his designs during Paris Fashion Week.

Growing up between Italy and France, Farhad developed a taste for fashion and extreme luxury which had been embraced by many celebrities and stars like Catherine Deneuve, Ivana Trump, Joan Collins, Ursula Andress or Princess Soraya.

The FM24 team, Christina Henningstad and Elena Karamouchkina, were warmly welcomed by Farhad in his Parisian atelier for a friendly and very “fashionable” chat .

Farhad Re: Hello, Christina and Elena! Hello FM24! Hearing your words about my work makes me happy and delighted to get to know you and FM24.

2.FM24: So, let’s start with our quiz….One word about yourself would be…?

Farhad Re: Can i pick 3 words? They would be: curious, selfish…and direct!

3.FM24: How long have you been a professional designer?

Farhad Re: Around 15 years.

4.FM24: Can you shortly describe your brand?

Farhad Re: A brief definition of my brand is: exclusive luxury products for people bored by all what is too similar and normal.

5.FM24: Where do you look for creative inspiration?

Farhad Re: The world is an infinite source of ideas. I fuel my creativity around the world during my different travels.

6.FM24: A few words about your collection showcased at the last Fashion
Week?

Farhad Re: The collection was inspired by nature and the fact that everything can transform and improve! Just like a nasty worm can become a wonderful butterfly, we can all become a better version of ourselves making the world a better place.

7.FM24: Your definition of “fashion” is…..?

Farhad Re: For me fashion is style, detail, creativity and new visions .

8.FM24: Do you have a muse?

Farhad Re: My muse is Lady Gaga. She can dare to try new styles and change all the time without ever being boring or obvious.

9.FM24: How do you want women to feel when wearing your clothes?

Farhad Re: One word: Unique!

10.FM24: What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve heard?And do you follow it?

Farhad Re: It would be: “Never listen to others!”. I think each of us has his own path and philosophy in life, therefore listening to others is not the best way to deal with life.

11.FM24: Most fashionable city for you, favourite style/brand and your
“MUST” item are…?

Farhad Re: The most fashionable city for me is London. Such an effervescent city with an incredible mix of tradition and originality. And i love English people who can mix-and-match almost everything and be themselves.

12.FM24: Your wish for the future of the fashion world would be…?

Farhad Re:I hope that the fashion world will learn to space out production to put priority on quality over quantity.

13.FM24: What advice you can give to newcomer fashion designers?

Farhad Re: Be patient and…keep going your way! Today the fashion industry is one of the biggest businesses that makes a huge turnover, so you have to be armed with knowledge, patience and tenacity.
