PIERRE CARDIN – ‘Cinquante-Neuf’

Pierre Cardin

59 Designs for 59 Years at 59 with Pierre Cardin – 59 To celebrate 59 years at 59, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Rodrigo Cardin presented an anniversary collection of 59 pieces. It offers a vision of the near future, where clothing becomes a tool of adaptation, balancing technological innovation with environmental awareness.

The runway imagined three possible futures: a planet overheating, another frozen, and a third submerged. In this changing universe, the Pierre Cardin silhouettes explore modularity and ingenuity. Magnet-equipped shapewear allows tunics, capes, or vests to be attached, creating new forms with a single gesture – an evolving wardrobe designed to accompany every moment of the day, from office hours to cocktail evenings.

Smart textiles under development in the Pierre Cardin ateliers regulate body temperature, providing warmth or coolness as needed. Light and flexible, the structures follow natural lines, dear to the Maison, while colored tulles add a vibrant and airy note. The materials come from dormant stocks, recycled fibers, or resources chosen for their low impact and minimal processing.

Models wearing futuristic visor-style glasses echo Pierre Cardin ’s space-age heritage. In an uncertain world, creation remains a response: inventing new forms that are sustainable and desirable. Clothing becomes a partner in daily life – functional, poetic and infinitely adaptable.

Through 59 pieces, a vision of the future takes shape: technological yet sensual, conscious without constraint and always infused with desire.
