UJOH FW26/27

Ujoh FW26

Antithesis. This world, in Japanese as in French, doesn’t signal a break but a questioning. UJOH scrutinizes its foundations, shapes, codes, and certainties to rethink them entirely. The House’s DNA remains intact, yet asserts itself with greater force. Silhouettes sharpen, volumes loosen. A deliberate stripping bare. Minimalism gains an insolent edge, fueled by grunge energy and a rock spirit drawn from the 1990s.

Between élégance and disorder, a new silhouette emerges.

True to its artisanal roots, UJOH places material at the heart of the process. This season, select fabrics are woven on a 1960s Schöherr machine in Japan, five times slower than modern looms. This deliberate pace revives the material : innovative nylons, sheer textures. An aesthetic that defies haste and overconsumption.

Combinations turn unexpectedly. Faux suede and faux fur appear on an aviator jacket. Lace emerges where least expected. Zips slice through lines, creating bold, rugged silhouettes. The palette darkens with black, chocolate, and rosewood, punched up by fern green and dark fig, contrasted by « sharkskin » shades in white and beige. Checks flirt with grunge. UJOH even disrupts the runway staging. No traditional procession : pieces appear in free order, like a wardrobe to explore rather than a story to follow.

UJOH x DREAMS COME TRUE – At the season’s core, a collaboration. UJOH designs stage costumes for the Japanese duo DREAMS COME TRUE on tour. The craftsmanship from this partnership enriches the collection, with select pieces as direct heirs. Antithesis is the elegance of disobedience. It’s knowing exactly what you’re doing, and choosing, fully aware, to do the opposite.
