SQUARE, Grid and Play – The Akris Fall 2022 designs by Albert Kriemler was unveiled in an exclusive film shot at SQUARE, the University of St. Gallen’s new forum for the future of learning.

The Akris Fall 2022 collection was inspired by the colored squares and geometric patterns of German artist Reinhard Voigt. The designs around the idea of an open grid that evokes exploration, creation and play.

The array of colour combos chosen by Albert Kriemler for the designs are strong and vibrant, yet they are not loud. The tones do not shock the eyes of the watcher and do not create an extreme feeling neither when looking at them, nor when they are worn.They express elegance and refinement harmoniously mixed with playfulness and softness.

And to emphasise the vision of the collection sugestively entitled “Square, Grid and Play”, the location of the show was a remarkable building designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. Designer Albert Kriemler has maintained a collaborative friendship since working together in 2016.

Pure reds beautifully mixed with sunny yellows and nature greens, naive drawings on the material patterns and metallic velvety sequins in contrasting or “neighbour” colours without overlapping the classic all-black or earthy tones looks, Albert Kriemler has succeeded to address its collection to the nowadays trends in the most relaxed yet exquisite form of fashion.
