FM24 Finally Gets Kristina Voiloshnikova Behind the Lens at Miami Fashion Week
We’ve been watching Kristina Voiloshnikova for a while. Now, we finally get to say it: she’s shooting Miami Fashion Week for FM24.
The New York and Miami-based fashion photographer is joining our coverage of Miami Fashion Week 2026, taking place October 13–17, and will be bringing FM24 readers her view of one of Miami’s biggest fashion events of the year.
And if you know Kristina’s photography, you know why we’re excited.
A Photographer We’ve Had Our Eye On
We first discovered Kristina Voiloshnikova through her fashion work and were immediately drawn to the way she photographs people. Her images are polished, but not at the expense of personality. She notices details that can easily disappear in the rush of a fashion event: a glance, an accessory, the movement of fabric, an unexpected expression, or those few seconds when someone forgets the cameras.
Her approach feels particularly suited to Fashion Week. After following her work, FM24 reached out to Voiloshnikova about collaborating. Now the timing couldn’t be better. Kristina will be on the ground at Miami Fashion Week, photographing the people, fashion and atmosphere surrounding the 2026 edition — and sharing selected images with FM24.
Miami Is About to Become a Runway
This year also marks an important milestone for MIAFW: the 10th anniversary of the relaunch of Miami Fashion Week and the Miami Fashion Institute, adding another layer to a week that has long positioned Miami as a meeting point between the American, Latin American and international fashion communities.
The week begins on October 13 with the official Miami Fashion Week Opening Gala at Queen Miami Beach, the landmark venue at 550 Washington Avenue in Miami Beach. In addition to opening the 2026 edition, the evening will celebrate the anniversary and support students of the Miami Fashion Institute.
On October 14, attention shifts from the runway to conversation and ideas with a full day dedicated to the MIAFW Summit. The initiative is part of Miami Fashion Week’s broader approach to the industry, bringing fashion professionals, students and other participants into discussions surrounding the issues shaping contemporary fashion. Then come the runways.
October 15, 16 and 17 will be dedicated to the main fashion shows, with eight runway presentations currently included in the official MIAFW Runway Week program.
Among the names announced by Miami Fashion Week are Karl Kani, appearing as a Special Guest, Giannina Azar, Angel Sanchez, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Yas Gonzalez, Rene by RR and Lisu Vega — bringing together different generations, aesthetics and cultural perspectives within the 2026 program.
The official MIAFW designer roster also reflects the event’s international reach, with designers and brands connected to the United States, Latin America and the broader global fashion scene. This mix has become part of Miami Fashion Week’s identity: a fashion week shaped not only by runway collections, but also by Miami’s position between cultures and markets.
Beyond the main shows, the city will also host additional fashion experiences during the week. From October 16–18, MIAFW and Stitch Lab will present a special fashion pop-up at 350 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, bringing together a curated selection of international designers and emerging brands in a setting where visitors can discover and shop their collections.
Miami Fashion Week’s wider program also extends beyond traditional runway presentations through social and cultural events, including its Influencers Brunch, MIAFW Gala and official parties — creating opportunities for designers, creatives, media, influencers and guests to meet throughout the week.
For FM24, that means there will be much more to capture than what happens on the runway. Because, as every fashion lover knows, some of the most memorable Fashion Week moments happen before the first model steps onto the catwalk — at the entrances, between presentations, outside the venues, and wherever designers, celebrities, influencers, and guests come together. That is where Kristina Voiloshnikova comes in. Her assignment for FM24 will give our readers another perspective on the week: not simply a record of collections, but a photographer’s view of the personalities who make Fashion Week what it is.
Who Will Be in Front of Kristina’s Camera?
That is the question we’re looking forward to answering.
Miami Fashion Week traditionally brings together designers, models, actors, influencers, editors and other personalities from across the international fashion scene. This year, Kristina will be there with her camera as she arrives, moves between events, and steps into the Miami Fashion Week spotlight.
For FM24 readers, that means an opportunity to see exclusive photography of some of the recognizable faces attending the week, captured through Voiloshnikova’s lens.
We don’t want only the perfectly posed moments. We want the details. We want the arrivals, the movement, the styling, the unexpected encounters, and those few seconds between the official photographs.
That’s precisely what drew us to Kristina’s work in the first place.
From New York Fashion Week to Miami
The collaboration comes at an interesting moment for Voiloshnikova.
In September 2025, Kristina Voiloshnikova volunteered to photograph street style during New York Fashion Week at shows by brands such as Michael Kors, Simkhai, Alice + Olivia, Coach, COS, TTSSWTRS, and Tory Burch. Her NYFW experience put her camera in front of personalities from fashion, entertainment, and social media and gave her the opportunity to work within the fast-moving environment of Fashion Week street style.
Now she is bringing that experience home to Miami. The two cities couldn’t be more different visually. New York gives photographers architecture, movement, crowded sidewalks and the unmistakable pace of Manhattan. Miami brings its own language: light, color, tropical surroundings and an international fashion community strongly connected to Latin America.
For a photographer, that difference creates an entirely new playground.
Through Kristina’s Lens
What we’re most interested in seeing is not simply who Kristina Voiloshnikova photographs during Miami Fashion Week, but how she photographs them. Her work combines fashion imagery with a preference for natural expressions and carefully observed details. Post-production is part of her visual language, but the person in the photograph remains recognizable and present. That balance is one reason FM24 wanted to work with her.
Fashion Week produces thousands of images. The challenge for a photographer is no longer simply being there. It is finding a point of view within all that visual noise. Kristina has one. This time, we’ll experience Miami Fashion Week through it.
