The central element of the collection is the bright sun of California with its unique shine of the West Coast. The strong light creates prisms across the sparkly silhouettes, while a myriad of natural materials gives the illusion of a metallic palette.
The light plays on the metarials while the models were catwalking resembled with a ritualic fusion between the celestial light and the earthy composition.
It all looked like a fashion show of the future transposed for into the present times.

With a tradition of showcasing the Louis Vuitton Cruise shows in iconic places of the world with remarkable architecture, Nicolas Ghesquière chose the Salk Institute in California which was designed by Louis Kahn in 1965.
The sharp and strong masterpiece represents both a treasure of modern architecture and an internationally renowned research institute.
It was a perfect location for the Louis Vuitton collection which projects as a modern and avantgarde interpretation of the future fashion.
