Paris, France – John Galliano rocked the Haute Couture Week in Paris with his newest Maison Margiela artisanal collection.
An ode against waste and consumerism that dominate the world nowadays in all industrial areas, the collection was almost entirely made of already-existing materials turned to contemporary, haute-couture fashion designs.
Apart from the visual impact of the collection itself , John Galliano stated a powerful message to the fashion world. As he declared that there are ” too many clothes in the world “, the designer succeeded to value old materials with an amateur sewing technique, encouraging in the same time the “do – it – yourself” future era of fashion .
