Photographic, subtle, jacquard, flocked, reproduced, hand-drawn.
FABRICS – Pinstripe, Prince of Wales, check, semi-plain, fil-à-fil, herringbone, textured jersey, velour, brocade, damask, Ottoman jacquard, leather, denim, knitwear, stretch, taffeta, silk twill, georgette, satin, voile, tulle.
TECHNIQUES – Appliqués, embroidery, patch inserts, decorations, fabric overlays, transparencies volutes, hand-printed designs, flocking, pleating.
SILHOUETTES – Tailored, layered, body-hugging, voluminous, micro and maximalist.
INTERVENTIONS – Brushstrokes, drawings, sketches, portraits, signs, and ciumpulls, cioroddus (as the people of Alghero call their artistic mishaps), directly created by Antonio Marras on the garments. Clothes like blank sheets on which to pour his signature motifs: hands, roses, stripes, dots, lines, and portraits.
As Antonio Marras says: ‘I am passionate about giving a voice to seemingly mute things so that they become garments that speak.’
