7th of March 2023, Paris, France – The legendary brand Chanel has presented its Fall-Winter 2023/2024 collection during the last day of Paris Fashion Week with a show at Grand Palais Éphémère to keep the tradition of the house rolling as usual.
The show was opened by model Loli Bahia and consisted of 66 creations in a close relation to the Chanel house codes like the tweed, shades of black and white and the camellia that was the leitmotif and star of the collection embroidered on tops, printed on dresses or used to adorn a pair of low-heeled shoes.
The runway presented a central camellia of impressive dimensions which changed its colors from pink to red and showed images of the actress nana Komatsu, the star of a short film made by the duo photographers Inez & Vinoodh as a reference to the French comedy “Who are you, Polly Maggoo?”.
On a minimalist decor of black and white perfectly reflecting the Chanel identity, the collection presented designs centered around masculine elements like wrap-around coats, floral coats inspired by dandy-dressed gowns, menswear jackets, jackets with pleated shorts all done in a black-and-white color palette with touches of pink and red as warm highlights of the ’60s and ’70s.
The models of the moment like Adut Akech, Olivia Vinten, Adwoa Aboah, Quannah Chasinghorse-Potts could be seen catwalking for the brand and stars like Penélope Cruz, FKA Twigs, Sofia and Nicole Richie dominated the front rows of the guests representing in the same time the essence of the brand through their full Chanel looks.
