The Queen of Hearts as we all feel is right to name Queen Elizabeth II has been walked on her last road by the Royal Family and friends on Monday during a historical funeral ceremony .
What a life to remember, a life dedicated to the service of her people, to the service of her country for over 7 decades. A promise to love and cherish her country which she made at 25 years old when she was crowned a Queen.
From the roaring 20’s when her Majesty was born until the present times, the World has literally changed under her sight. Everything from social values to fashion, technology and life itself. All but the image of a monarch who stood firm and strong to its values while adapting beautifully to the changes brought by each decade.
Queen Elizabeth II was not a stranger to fashion. She got us all used to elegant and bright public apparitions which have always presented a signature royal British elegance mixed with her personal preference to bold colours and minimalist suits accessorized with signature pearls necklaces, matching earrings and her favourite Launer bags.
Her last portrait showed by Buckingham Palace presents the Queen photographed by Ranald Mackechnie and shows the late monarch in a powder blue suit with her joyful ear-to-ear smile. Pinned to her chest is an aquamarine brooch that was a present from her father, King George, for her 18th birthday.
Queen Elizabeth II, a Queen of Hearts we will all deeply miss and whose values and style are lessons to treasure and follow for the future to come.
