The Giorgio Armani Privé “In Omaggio a Milano” collection, was presented live on the brand’s official website and social media channels on January 26th.
Why a homage to Milan after years of showing in Paris?
Simply out of Giorgio Armani’s love and appreciation to this city which dates back to 1975 when he decided to settle his brand into this fashion inspiring place. In 1996 Armani established his headquarters inside the Palazzo Orsini – the ancestral home of the Falco Pio Family which became his atelier and now he chose this seventeenth century neoclassical decor as a set for the digital haute couture show SS21.
Armani is praising the Italian glamour, highlighting Milan as an international prestigious fashion and design reference also offering a front row seat to the audience charmed to discover once more the incredible desire for perfection of the house.
The collection is characterized by elegant silhouettes and precise construction and the shining micro-crystals and sequins are revealing the expert craftmanship and careful execution of the haute couture dresses.
Bright powerful colors like magenta red and aqua green, cobalt, and Prussian blue from the color palette of the collection are adding a note of summer joyfulness to the evening gowns, and the delicate tones of grey, greige and pastels are defining the grace of Armani Couture.
The exquisitely crafted outfits have a magical glow and are impressive as always, presenting geometric necklines, highly delicate handmade embroidery, elegant organza with floral motifs, sheer tulle with stylized floral embroidery and crystals, flowing materials adorned with jewels, crinoline embellished velvet, and three-dimensional decoration.
Fringed top-handle bags along with pastel satin and velvet mini bags are the accessories proposed to match the amazing looks.
Celebrating the art of Haute Couture, in an elegant historic building among eighteenth-century frescoes, the Armani Privé show was a fascinating journey of discovery into the Giorgio Armani universe of masterful elegance.
