American “At-Leisure” with RANDI RAHM

September 2020 –  New York based couture designer Randi Rahm released her “At-Leisure” collection, a sartorial ode to the new normal so many are forced to adapt to. Most known for her timeless custom gowns and suits that have been gracing celebrities for almost 30 years, Rahm wanted to design a collection (or as she prefers call it an “evolution”) that allows people to look good and feel even better.  

“I created these pieces to reflect people’s growing need to feel comfortable, but also, beautiful. There is something for everyone in this evolution. At-Leisure is all about timeless pieces that are perfect for quick errands, virtual work meetings, and socially distanced get-togethers” says Rahm. “Everything holds current-day appeal that will last the test of time in your wardrobe.” 

With sizes ranging from XS-XL, the “At-Leisure” collection includes silk chiffon wrap tops, strapless silk jumpsuits, satin shorts and tops emblazoned with “PLR” in Swarovski crystals (short for Peace, Love, Rahm), cozy knit dusters, light-weight printed baseball jackets and many more luxuriously comfortable pieces.  

Rahm utilized rich and bold colors such as electric blue and marigold yellow to give certain pieces instant impact that translates perfectly on camera. “Now more than ever, people are connecting digitally, especially in the workplace. One of the best ways to stand out is by donning a vibrant, primary color.” The rest of the collection’s color palette consists of pale pinks, heather greys and traditional neutral tones. 

While this collection is not quite like her classic couture work, Rahm’s signature touch is infused throughout the line in the form of intricate detailing, such as hand-embroidered crystals on pockets, decorative crystal beads on the ends of pant and short strings, sheer paneling and more.”

About Randi Rahm: Randi Rahm is an internationally lauded fine haute couture artist, whose signature timeless gowns and suits have been gracing red carpets, magazine covers, and stages for almost three decades.  A classically trained conductor and concert pianist with degrees in art history and music, Rahm’s design vision combines her love of dance, fine art, and music- a pastiche of influences which has helped her innovate throughout her career.
