28th of September, Paris, France – Fashion Season could not have been complete without an exhibition dedicated to the master of fashion, Mr. Karl Lagerfeld.

The well-known art gallery Art Photo Expo located in one of the most glamorous Parisian places, Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris, has dedicated the fashion week season days to showcase the collection of pictures from the Chanel shows and Karl Lagerfeld’s work taken by Simon Procter, the designer’s favourite photographer.

In the past decade, Simon Procter had the chance to be present and take photos at all Chanel shows invited by Karl Lagerfeld himself.

The first encounter with Simon and Karl was in 2006 when he had the chance to do an editorial for Harper’s Bazaar with the designer surrounded by models in various New York locations. Everything turning spectacular , Simon had later come on with the proposal to make a book out of Karl’s work. A proposal which was immediately accepted by Karl Lagerfeld who had already turned into a fan of his photographic vision.

And there we had the chance to visit Art Photo Expo and see the amazing pictures taken by Simon Procter surprising the designer during his Chanel shows.

As each Chanel fashion show revolved around a certain theme to emphasise the collection vision, Simon has managed to highlight even more through amazing photographic edits the general artistic idea while catching instantaneous real moments with Karl Lagerfeld during his shows.
