AKNVAS debuted their FW21 collection on the CFDA’s Runway360 platform at New York Fashion Week 2021. The Fall/Winter 2021 collection was created from a lens, which is looking at a world, in which we are all seeking comfort and safety.
Designer Christian Juul Nielsen’s inspiration took him on a journey to revisit his roots while living in Paris and Copenhagen. The results are couture-inspired corset details, mixed with comfortable oversized sweatshirts, and square shapes of LEGO-inspired geometric patterns and zig zags.

After spending years at design houses including Dior (working under John Galliano and Raf Simons) and Oscar de la Renta, Nielsen endeavored to launch his own brand, while also currently serving as the Creative Director of Herve Leger.
