Let’s meet Sacha!

Fashion Magazine 24 Interview

A lovely summer August day comes along with a new FM24 quiz with smiley and enticing model and actress Sacha Tarantovich.

Meeting her during the last season Paris Fashion Week events is one of the “things” we love about Fashion Week – the opportunity to make so many new connections, build friendships and discover talents from all over the world.

Sacha is the star of our today’s FM24 quiz so let’s take a few minutes to know her and her work better and also admire the set of editorial images which Sacha along with her team have prepared especially for the FM24 readers and fashion lovers.

1. Fashion Magazine 24: Hello, dear Sacha! It is so nice to finally reunite for this interview after Paris Fashion Week. We are delighted to get to chat with you and know more about your work and talent. So let’s start, let us know more about Sacha…

Sacha Tarantovich: Hello, FM24! A real joy to chat again and get to know your community with this occasion!

My name is Sacha Tarantovich. I am a French-Russian actress. I was born in Saint – Petersburg,Russia and at 20 years I decided to move in Paris, because I was in love with French language.

After graduating from one of the most famous institutes of theatre and cinema FLORENT in Paris, I decided to stay in France. It was the beginning of my new life. And it was really exciting to discover everything.

Today has marked 18 years since I have decided to stay in France and I continue to participate in films both in Moscow and Paris.I love fashion, I try following the trends and I have many friends who work in the fashion industry, so every time there is a fashion show in Paris, I am usually there.

I enjoy wearing high heels, but wearing them every day is very hard, which many Europeans know, so after a while I learned to combine different styles. When I go out, I love wearing Gucci high heels with some basic jeans and a shirt, topping it all of with a leather jacket.

And during the day or when there is a movie I take part in, I usually wear sneakers with a hoodie, and on top of all this I prefer wearing a long trench-coat or a jacket.I think that diversity in fashion is something beautiful and amazing. Seeing the diversity among the fashion models is something that makes me unbelievably eably happy.

Above all, I like seeing brands introduce new lines of clothing, such as “petite” or “plus size” , so that everyone will be able to find nice clothes that will make them happy. It is wonderful to see that everyone now is able to express themselves through clothing.

2. Fashion Magazine 24: Your definition of fashion is … ?

Sacha: For me fashion is a style that fully reflects yourself: your energy, your character, your style, and your mood. To be fashionable for me doesn’t mean wearing only luxurious brands.

It is the ability to combine different styles, clothing items and in my opinion, the combination of accessories and the outfit is the most crucial part.

Accessories add a spark to your outfit and make it stand out. I think that nothing makes a outfit more fashionable than combining basic clothes with a statement piece – Prada Loafers or a Céline Bag, which creates an interesting contrast between simple clothing pieces like basic jeans or a black dress and eye catching accessories.

I think that wearing a simple outfit and combining it with a Red Chanel Lipstick will make the entire look more stylish and will make it stand out.

3. FM24:– And the most fashionable city for you., your favorite style, your favourite brand and your “MUST” item are…?

Sacha: I have two cities 🙂 Paris and Milan! In my opinion, I view those cities as a reflection of sexuality, independence, rigidity, boldness, and brilliance in their own way !

I love PRADA, Armani , I also love Parisian brands : Tara JARMON, Celine,Yves saint Laurent, Agnès B., and Dior!

I love different styles from each and every brand listed above. I love bags and shoes from Prada, but I prefer buying dresses and T-shirts from Agnès B.

I get my coats and jackets from Tara Jarmon and I get my glasses from Céline. Each and every one of those proposes a distinct style, but there is nothing I like more than mixing and matching them in my daily life.

4. FM24: -Your wish for the future of the fashion world would be…?

Sacha: I believe that there would not be any fashion in the future if we do not make it sustainable, the future of fashion lies in ecologically sourced materials and minimisation of waste. Sustainable fashion gives a good example for younger generations that you can be both stylish and be environmentally conscious.

I think that sustainable fashion will open new possibilities and allow many designers to create their own unique approaches to fashion. To share an example I have a close friend, Olga Boyarinova who owns a sustainable clothing brand which offers clothes made from leather sourced from apple skins, so it is basically apple skin leather.

It is biodegradable, eco friendly, and one of a kind. In my opinion, this is a real visualisation of the future of fashion, because it is stylish, it is beautiful, it is eye catching, it looks like real leather, but the best part is that it was made from apple skins, so there was no trace left behind (you can find them on Instagram @boyari_store).

5. FM24: Wow, your friend’s idea to create products from apple skin is indeed impressive. We have had other examples of vegan products like cactus leather and the fact that the production of such products grows is nothing but great news for the industry!

Like you mentioned, it it is friendly to the environment and the result is super chic and long-lasting! It was a pleasure to talk to you, Sacha and we can’t wait to see your future acting and modeling works!

Sacha: I am always happy to exchange ideas which benefit us all and cannot wait to meet again during the next Paris Fashion Week! Let’s keep this chats a habit (laughing)! It brings out nothing but the best to us all!
