Time for a throwback to an iconic show that marked the launch of the Yves Saint Laurent Spring-Summer 2020 womenswear collection.
It happened last autumn in front of the Eiffel Tower on a runway full of lights sparkling on the Parisian night sky where topmodels like Stella Tennant, Naomi Campbell, Kaia Gerber, etc. walked in the iconic designs prepared by the brand for the ongoing summer of 2020.
As a show that took part in open air, YSL offered more than a standard fashion show to the public consisting of fashion icons, artists, bloggers, magazine representatives and people sitting on the walls to watch the models passing. It all seemed a combo between an outdoor spectacle, a rock concert and a fashion rally.
The brand’s director, Anthony Vacarello, created a visual spectacle of sparkling strong black pieces with a rock touch like tuxedos, short pants sweetened with more romantic hippie-glam pieces like gold emroidered dresses, chiffon blouses or peasant smocks.
…just timeless Saint Laurent looks that can fit both women in their clubbing years as well as other generations who just want to stand out from the crowd.
