No pandemic can block Simone Rocha‘s inspiration and no restrictions can put a stop to creating amazing fashion shows that transcend the digital world where the Prêt-à-Porter 2021 London Fashion Week happened took place this Spring.
A cast of models dressed as biker ballerinas catwalked in the church of St. John’s Hyde Park to showcase Rocha’s collection suggestively named “Winter Roses”. With a vision expressing toughness and delicacy, Rocha mixed contrasting ellements like black biker jackets, dresses with satin roses, pink tulles, pink ballet skirts with ivory flowers on the sideways and faux natural pearls painted with roses and white cameo porcelain earrings.
The feeling of the show and collection got very tactile and visceral enough for people at home to actually feel as if being present in the location while watching the models parade. After a busy 2020 marked by collaborations with H&M and a full family life involving new baby on the way and homeschooling, the collection mixed fashion with a slight educational aura.
A show that felt live, a Women collection that “translated” emotions into fashionable, unique, artistic pieces, perfect to stand out during the next Fall-Winter season ….
