Now that fashion week season has come to an end, we can all return to our daily activities and start our morning routine with today’s news. But guess what … today’s news is just another fashion week story!

After every show you always ask yourself this question: ‘’Who was the star of the catwalk this time?”. In the last few years we got used to hearing the names of Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, etc. But now, 18-year old Kaia Gerber was this season’s ‘IT’ girl. You might have heard of her: daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber.

Although she just turned 18, Kaia was a constant presence at Paris Fashion Week 2019. Designers like Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Chloe chose the young model to showcase their outfits on the catwalk. All her runway looks were different and she looked amazing in all of them. Kind of hard not to spot the resemblance with her supermodel mother, Cindy Crawford.

And on top of everything Kaia’s 18 birthday brought her first British Vogue cover! Cindy’s daughter stars on the magazine’s October issue. When Vogue calls you a ‘supermodel’ you know you reached a different level! The publication also called her the “darling of the runway” and that was proven at Paris Fashion Week. Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino’s creative director, for which Kaia modeled at PFW, said in the Vogue article: “She embodies the idea of the young generation.”

After closing Paris Fashion Week at Chanel, the young model enjoyed a night out stepping out in style for MiuMiu’s post show dinner party. Kaia wore a peach coat with jeans and strappy heels.

Although Kaia is on her way to become a great supermodel of our times stepping on her mother’s footsteps, she is still a normal teenager. In the British Vogue article Kaia called herself an “old soul.” The 18-years-old says she loves reading books.The model also said that she finds it more intimidating to walk into school and be with people of her age rather than having photographer Steven Meisel taking pictures of her.

”Old soul”, nowadays supermodel, Cindy’s daughter, Vogue cover girl or ”normal teenager”… all we can say is that we really wish Kaia a warm ‘Happy Birthday!”…. and to many, many other fashion weeks ahead…with her being a true star of the runway.
